Pelos caminhos de Portugal – part 11 – Coimbra day 2

Hello there! 🙂

Before I get started, I have a little warning to make: this post contains many pictures!! 🙂
Yeah, Coimbra is so full of amazing and cute places to show that it was very difficult to make a small selection.
On our second day in town, we spent most of our morning at the University campus, visiting every single building including the so well know and breathtaking Library (where it’s not allowed to take photos…), the university’s Tower, chapel and main Hall.

All these buildings had their own magic; from the top of the Tower, you can have an amazing view over the city. But honestly, the Baroque Library is just something out of this world.

As always, we walked until the point of completely tiredness, but that’s simply the only way to get to know a place. We wondered around the narrow streets, checked out the Old Sé and even crossed the Mondego river, which gave us a new perspective of this charming city.

After this day, we came to the conclusion that in order to visit this city, one needs:
– Strong lung capacity;
– Good walking shoes;
– Be fit;
– Not mind the constant leg and feet pain.

Here are “some” pictures for you.
