An evening with ANATHEMA – Concert Photos

Hello!

WARNING: picture heavy post

As promised on the latest post for the photography weekly challenge (see here), today I am sharing with you some of the photos I took at the Anathema show in Nijmegen.
It was the first show I shot with my 35mm f1.8 lens and I believe I got better results than I would have gotten with the kit lens.
The downside of it is that I did not have zoom available unless I would move around the venue, and eventually veeeery close to the stage.
The venue was sold out, therefore, moving was not so easy. That is why all photos have a similar perspective, even though I tried to get a bit creative.
Also, I wanted to enjoy the show meaning I wasn’t constantly photographing. After all, I was there to see the band and as a plus, to be able to practice and see how far I could get with the Sony a6000 + SEL35F18 combo.

Help me through this learning curve and give me your feedback; whether is positive or not.

Enjoy the “show”!

The show was great with a nice mix and balance of older songs and some from their latest album, The Optimist. I and my friend had a great time!
I totally recommend you to go and check out Anathema, live, but if you can’t, then listen to their albums. You will not regret!

See you soon!
