Hello
Ever since I moved out of Porty-land, and especially during the last 2-3 years, I have realized how important it is to take nothing for granted. Nor anyone, for that matter.
Old time friends are no longer friends or hardly care to say something, you are not aware of the “latest news”, messages don’t come in in times of need because your dearest ones do not want to worry you, since you are “so far away” or even more importantly, family that you had to leave behind because you made the decision to go and look for a better future or just for the thrill of a new adventure, keeps on shrinking without you being able to do anything about it or even being there for them…
But the truth is, all these little things just enlarge the physical distance between the one who left and those who were “left behind”.
I have come to the conclusion that this is just the way things are or will be.

There is just so little I can do about it…
So when I am back home, I try my very best to meet those who really matter and care, hold them close because before you know it, it’s time to leave again.
And no; it’s not for the thrill anymore. It’s the obligation of having to fulfill your duties in the country you choose to get your life rolling, so to speak.
“Walk together” |
Whenever you have the chance, “walk together” with those you care and care about you.
Even if it’s just for 5 minutes.
