Hi everyone!!
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while now, you may know that one of the things I like to do in my spare time is to take photos of the places I visit. I do not know how this got started, but it is something I really enjoy doing.
Yet, it is also true that most times I do it only if I visit someplace new.
After a talk with a friend of mine, which is also a photography enthusiast, I asked him if he wanted to participate in a challenge with me.
The challenge would consist of two main things:
- Gear: take a different lens than I would usually choose.
- What to shoot: my friend would decide for me what I would have to shoot.
The reason for this was that since I am so used to my surroundings, I have a hard time seeing the “beauty” in it, and he, as an outsider (so to speak), does not have that.
So, I would basically shoot what my friend found interesting.
Interestingly enough, this meant I was shooting sights or perspectives that, most likely, I wouldn’t have chosen myself.
And you know what was also very cool? After a while, he was also participating, as he would shoot things I would pick up. haha
In the end, I guess we challenged each other.
It was very challenging to do this, and really set out of my comfort zone, as well as shooting according to another person’s perspective.
But you may now wonder: where are the photos?
Well, you can see them on my upcoming travel post, this Thursday!
So stay tuned to all my social media platforms, or just come by at 8 am CET in a couple of days.
What was the most challenging thing you’ve done?
Let me know in the comments.
See you soon!
