Look at how a single candle
can both defy and define
the darkness

As far as I can remember, I have a fascination with light and darkness; for me, two sides of the same coin. It’s like, you can’t have one without the other; not only in a philosophical way of speaking but also in a more scientific way.
But my interest in this duality goes beyond the obvious; say music, for example.
I love a good doom, dark, melodic metal; oh I sure do! But with this said, nothing pumps me more than good old Madonna, Prince or even good house/dance music.
Like sweet & salty; if you have one, then you gotta have the other to counter-balance the scale.
And you: what kind of “dualities” do you like and identify with?
Let me know in the comments section.

Particle/wave dualities have occupied my thoughts and imagination for decades. As has quantum entanglement. Alas, I have no explanation to offer.
