Hello there!
It is about time that I show you more of my visit to Milan, don’t you agree?
Read the first part of this series (here) where I talk more about the whole experience and how I felt about my days in there.
But for now, let’s get started!
Come along with me in Milan.
Visiting Milan – part2 | #TravelThursday
We left our hotel and just started walking towards the city center; on the way there, we walked through the Giardini Pubblici.
Found some cute, hidden squares…
And enchanting narrow streets
The nice Scala Theater
Saw the Leonardo DaVinci statue
Walked through the glamorous and glorious Galleries Vittorio Emanuele II
And ended up at the so famous Duomo.
During this first walked through the city, I was really amazed about how glamorous everything looks like. It’s really a city where those with nice bank accounts can have lots of fun.
Oh, I should also mention, that we were introduced to the “Milanese Happy Hour”. Basically, you are at a bar/pub, and for a few hours, they serve “free” food and snacks, buffet style for you to take along with your drinks.
Nice and all, except that you pay quite a lot for your drinks. I can’t precise anymore how much we paid for, what I think it was 3 glasses of wine and 3 pints, but I think it was about 50Eur… I do remember we were unhappily surprised with the bill. Eventually, we had to laugh about it and avoided at all costs being at another “Happy Hour” during the next days in this city.
You can fool me once, but not twice…
Hope you liked the first sights of this city.
I will show you more sometime soon.
