With the days getting warmer, I can’t help but think about going to the beach again. It’s just something that I deeply enjoy and relaxes me like no other thing! With that being said, I am not a fan of super crowded beaches and normally I do not go to the “most famous beaches in Portugal”.
Those are normally located down South, in Algarve. That’s where most tourists (and also Portuguese people) go during summer break.
I, on the other hand, prefer to stay on the south bank of Lisbon. It’s just home, you know?
Sesimbra is one of my all-time favorite beaches, which I mentioned in this post, but during my last summer vacation in Portugal, I decided to go to other beaches, also not so far away from Lisbon. And that’s when I fell in love with Portinho da Arrábida beach.
In all honestly, I had been there a loooooooong time ago, but I can’t remember exactly how long (mom if you are reading this, do you remember??).
I did remember that it was hard to reach, and that hasn’t changed.
The place feels like paradise!!!
I won’t be able to find the right words to describe it, so please, enjoy the photos…
To my knowledge, it is only reachable by car, which brings us to the only downside of it: lack of parking.
But I totally recommend going to visit this beautiful beach!!!
I am very happy that I rediscovered it.
What is your favorite beach and why?
Let me know in the comments.
Happy swims!
See you soon!
