You can read the whole story about it here, but in a very short summarized way, I decided to reduce my intake of meat, fish, and dairy. I did not become vegan, though.
So, a few months have passed and I must say: so far, so good!
I haven’t noticed major differences in my body or the way I feel, ever since I started following a more plant-based diet (though not 100%, as I explained previously).
Except for one thing, and one thing only.
My skin!
I am that kind of person who always had a few pimples, every month, some hormonal others just annoying b*tches that would show up at the most inconvenient times. Luckily enough, I never really had acne.
But lately, I had noticed that some of my pimples would either be internal (those f*ckers that hurt baaaadly and seem to never really go away) and they would normally show up at the same areas of my face.
Just to put things into context a bit more, during the first month after I started this food regime, I noticed that no pimples showed up or even if they did, they would be tiny and gone within 2 or 3 days.
Then, it was Easter, and I went to Portugal. Even though I tried to stick to my “new food regime” most of the times that were just not possible and I ended up eating a lot more meat and dairy products than before. Result? My face got a “nice” collection of pimples that not only hurt but stayed for minimum a week.
Coincidence? I don’t think so…
Now my question to you is:
If you have a more plant-based diet, have you noticed any difference in your skin condition/texture? Or have you noticed any other changes in your body?
For now, I am still liking to stick to this diet, and whenever “need it”, I will take some meat and/or fish. Not to forget, that I still enjoy it!
See you soon!

Não me surpreende! Dietas com grande preponderância de carne são nocivas à saúde, por isso, keep going, amiga!:)
Sim, também estou a aprender isso à medida que vou me habituando a esta nova dieta.
Mas ainda tenho muito para aprender! 😉
