Photography & Travel | two of my passions

If you have been reading this blog for a while now, you might have a nice picture regarding my interests.

So it is no news when I mention how much I like to travel and take photographs of the spots I visit.
Not always I feel like shooting the places I visit, but when I am in the mood, I could be mistaken for a Japanese tourist! hahaha *joking*

So far, I have invested a little bit in my photo-game, by purchasing a 35mm lens (read more info here) and a few accessories but that is pretty much it.
To be honest, I am quite disappointed at Sony for not investing in their APS-C market and releasing new lenses for the a6000/6300/6500 series.
Instead, they have been really focusing on the Full-Frame series, with many new camera bodies and lenses that compete highly with the DSLR cameras out there.
But for now, I am still quite happy with my handy Sony a6000 and I find it a great option for traveling as it is quite compact, yet powerful. At least, for my skill level.
Actually, I am thinking of challenging myself during my next trip.
How? Hear me out!
Usually, I tend to use the kit lens (16-50 mm) about 99% of the time while I am on the go while keeping the 35mm for product photography or when I take swatches.
So I was thinking to change the game a bit and take only the 35mm with me during my next trip. This way, I will be forced not only to look at things differently but also to use this great lens for a different purpose.

What do you think? Is it a good or bad idea?

Also, if you are a Sony shooter, tell me your recommendations for travel photography.

I am quite curious about what type of photos I will be coming back home with.
I guess we will have to wait and see…
